Non destructive testing
This is an important part of our quality system and each casting is inspected according to the quality plan to satisfy customer requirements. NDT processes include:
- Dimensional control
- Magnetic particle inspection (MPI)
- Dye penetrant inspection (DP)
- Ultrasonics (UT)
- Radiography (RT)
Once the required scope of NDT has been completed, any unacceptable indications are removed and welded using qualified weld procedures. Post weld heat treatment, where applicable, and final inspection then complete the casting production process.
