Moulding
The Alphaset sand binder system serves our four automated moulding lines. The system has been chosen for the sharp precision of its finish, its resistance to the full range of steel casting temperatures and grades, and its excellent breakdown during cooling.
Main Foundry
This has three moulding sections:
- A semi-automatic loop moulding section for both small and large production runs creating high definition moulds.
- A boxless floor moulding section for medium sized products.
- A box moulding section for larger and more complex shaped products.
The moulding lines provide the versatility to handle a variety of shapes, sizes and quantities, whilst maintaining strict control over quality and surface finish.
Special Cast Products Foundry (SCP)
A dedicated facility for the production of smaller castings from under 1kg to 100kg, often in exotic grades such as Stellite, Inconel and Monel.
