Material Compositions
Noel Village are recognised for the strength of their metallurgical expertise with over 200 material compositions produced along well proven process routes. The compositions can be summarised as follows:
| Carbon steels | For general engineering applications. |
| Alloy steels | Providing higher strengths, low temperature impact properties or high temperature creep resistance. |
| Heat resisting Cr Ni steels | For environments where oxidising conditions are encountered with increased loads and variations in temperature. |
| Austenitic stainless steels | Providing resistance to a wide variety of corrosive environments and considered to be the best general purpose stainless steels. |
| Duplex stainless steels | For high strength combined with corrosion resistance in a number of more demanding environments including resistance to sulphide crevice corrosion and seawater corrosion. |
| Martensitic stainless steels | Providing resistance to cavitation and relatively high temperatures including steam turbines and also excellent toughness especially at low temperatures. |
| Nickel based alloys | Providing excellent resistance to corrosion, high temperatures and combinations of both where strength is not paramount. |
